Lake and mountain living PLUS a practice with high-tech equipment! Located in the heart of the north Georgia and western North Carolina mountains and lakes region, Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital needs another Associate Veterinarian!
If you enjoy practicing state of the art veterinary medicine while surrounded by breathtaking beauty, this practice is for you! Supporting Towns and Union counties in GA and Clay and Cherokee counties in NC, our entire highly skilled and compassionate staff has dedicated themselves to providing stellar customer service, medical and surgical care, and life-long education to our clients and patients from pre-birth through the grieving process. We refer after-hours emergencies to a local emergency practice so there is no on-call requirement.
Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology like laser surgery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, full-mouth dental radiography, etc. and, above all, remembers all pets need to be treated like family - with loving care at every check-up, procedure, and surgery.
Only 2 hours from Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga and Knoxville, TN, Asheville, NC or Greenville, SC, you can have the city when you want it or leave the traffic behind if you don’t. Our 7,000-acre Lake Chatuge straddles the NC and GA line and offers an abundance of recreational activities like fishing, water skiing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and boating. The Appalachian Trail and many others come through our county. We also have an active arts and crafts community (the John C. Campbell Folk School is nearby), live theater, concerts, and top-notch shopping and dining!
Who we're looking for:
We must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a degree from an accredited university, and licensure to practice in GA. We would prefer at least 5 years’ experience but with at least one other experienced vet on site, mentoring is available for a talented new graduate.
Selected applicant must share our commitment to superlative client and patient care and continuous professional development.
Avian and exotic experience would be helpful but is not required.
Experience or an interest in learning ultrasound imaging is a plus.
Benefits include competitive base salary, medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid vacation, sick and holidays, CE allowance, in-house training, signing bonus and/or moving expenses, and career growth opportunities.
If you are looking for a career adventure and an opportunity for unmatched personal growth, we want to hear from you!
