Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is searching for an associate veterinarian who is interested in working at a high quality, AAHA certified small animal practice with a strong focus on teamwork and work-life balance. We are a certified "Cat Friendly" AND "Fear Free" clinic, with over 50 employees who are a minimum of level 1 & 2 Fear Free Certified!  Our practice has onsite physical therapy and acupuncture, and we also have an on-site positive methods dog trainer who will happily provide resources and consult on cases. 

We have a wonderful group of friendly, enthusiastic and highly trained staff members, and we utilize them to their fullest extent! You will always have a technician in the exam room with you and a sterile surgical assistant for every surgery, while a second technician monitors anesthesia.  You will be free to perform the duties that can ONLY be done by a vet!

Available equipment includes digital radiography (regular and dental), ultrasound, in house lab, TonoVet Plus tonometry, therapeutic laser, Ellman radiosurgery unit, Doppler blood pressure, high-speed dental drills, and extensive anesthetic monitoring equipment.

We do not see after-hours emergencies, but you will be expected to work 1 or 2 evenings a week (till 8 pm) and 1-2 Saturdays a month, as well as be available for supervision of hospitalized cases on occasional weekends. Quality of life is a priority for all of our doctors and staff - we are very careful to avoid overwork and burnout!

Our practices are located in York, Pennsylvania, where you can enjoy a lower cost of living yet still be within easy distance of several large cities (Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Harrisburg etc.).  The city of York offers a small town atmosphere with plenty of the amenities that you would expect from a more urbanized area - truly the best of both worlds!  

Salary is very competitive for the area (see "salary info" for more details).
