Dr. Kiani established Harlem Animal Hospital in March of 2014. Dr. Kiani received her veterinary degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, to further specialize her skills, she completed a one-year advanced internship training program at Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital of the ASPCA in NYC. Following her internship, Dr. Kiani was an Associate Veterinarian in Manhattan and a Medical Director in Queens. Dr. Kiani decided to open Harlem Animal Hospital because she wanted to develop a safe haven for animals where the most ethical and advanced veterinary care could be offered. Healing animals and helping people is the mission of our hospital.Dr. Kiani and her staff at Harlem Animal Hospital provide the most progressive and advanced veterinary medical and surgical care to our clients and their pets. Harlem Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility that provides state-of-the-art technology and diagnostics to prevent, identify, and treat illnesses in companion pets. At Harlem Animal Hospital, we offer a comprehensive range of services for your pets including wellness care, digital radiography (x-rays), internal medicine, dentistry, emergency/critical care, and surgery. We are equip with an in-house bloodwork laboratory, which allows our doctors to provide you and your pet with immediate results. In our surgical suite, our doctors utilize excellent anesthetic and monitoring equipment. We also have an isolation ward, which enables us to treat pets that are afflicted by infectious/contagious diseases in a separate environment from our other non-infectious patients. We provide a boarding facility so that you are comfortable knowing that you have entrusted your pet to the care of a veterinarian while you are traveling away from home. Harlem Animal Hospital has a groomer who performs both routine and medicated bathing, as well as cuts and clips specific to your dog’s breed. With our grooming den, we hope to fully accommodate our clients and their beloved pets allowing them to satisfy all of their pets’ needs within the same hospital. Dr. Kiani defines the goals of Harlem Animal Hospital as the following:?To uphold the highest value of the practice, which is to demonstrate premier levels of professionalism while providing compassionate, individualized patient and client care.?To provide the client with an expert veterinary workforce including outstanding, passionate veterinarians and well-trained technicians specializing in the treatment of dogs and cats.?To build and maintain a clean, aesthetically pleasing facility that provides state-of-the-art veterinary equipment/medical care combined with a kindhearted, welcoming staff.?To invest in the most advanced equipment including anesthesia machines, top-quality anesthetic monitoring devices, digital radiology, electrocautery, video otoscopy, and in-hospital clinical laboratory diagnostics.?To always address all client questions thoroughly so that the client understands the patient’s disease process, feels comfortable with his choices for his pets’ healthcare, and feels eager to come back and visit us with his pets again. ?To dedicate plenty of time to each individual patient and client so that meticulous detail is allocated to each medical case optimizing the quality of medicine offered at the practice. ?To raise the standards of veterinary medicine through community outreach, continuing education, and the adoption of the newest medical and technical improvements within the field. ?To develop a more accommodating veterinary hospital than surrounding competitors by providing early morning/evening operating hours and by offering unique services such as boarding, ultrasonography, digital radiology, and overnight hospitalization. ?To service a diverse clientele and to address all patient/client needs to the best of our abilities as dictated by each client’s financial situation.
