Osage Regional Veterinary Clinic LLC is a progressive mixed animal practice in central Missouri. Osage Regional Veterinary Clinic was established in 1999 and has grown to a busy 3 doctor practice. We are located in Linn, MO (population ~1,500), close to the state capital of Jefferson City as well as less than 1 hour from Columbia and the University of Missouri Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Linn is also home to State Technical College of MO, one of the nation’s leading technical colleges.
We provide full service companion animal care with procedures ranging from spay/neuter, dentals, and mass removals to abdominal explore, gastrotomy/enterotomy, and fracture repair.
Our production animal business is primarily cow/calf with a seemingly growing number of small ruminants as well as a few confinement hog operations. We offer extensive food animal services including general herd work, calf processing, hoof care (formally trained technician assisting), pregnancy diagnosis by palpation and ultrasound, fetal sexing, synchronization and artificial insemination. Obstetrical cases are commonly hauled into the clinic but we also are available to assist on the farm. We perform in-house C-section for our food animal patients as the need arises. We regularly perform routine horse care including vaccinations, Coggins testing, medical intervention of colic, and castration.
We have a modern haul in facility with a hydraulic Flying W tilt chute, portable For-most chute, and portable ultrasound. Companion animal equipment includes Abaxis in-house CBC and chemistry, gas anesthesia, comprehensive patient monitoring, digital radiography and dental scaler/polisher. We consistently replace and upgrade equipment as needed to be able to offer modern diagnostics and treatments. Our practice software was converted in 2021 to a new cloud based program.
With our clinic offering such a wide range of services to both companion and production animals, we are able to provide great opportunities for mentorship and experience for veterinary students and new graduates. Our dedicated staff use teamwork to achieve the best outcome for our a loyal clientele and their animals. Through the Allen Waterman Animal Assistance Fund (established in honor of one of our longtime clients) we are able to offer financial assistance to many clients who have struggled to provide essential veterinary care to their animals, as well as rehome animals from less than ideal circumstances.
Employment package includes competitive salary, 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 standing weekday off per work week, with Saturday morning hours only (at least 1 full Saturday off per month), excellent health insurance, paid liability insurance, AVMA/MVMA dues, DEA/BNDD licenses, continuing education, and bonus opportunities.
