Western Veterinary Partners is searching for a remote veterinary recruiting specialist to help us attract, hire, and engage with the best people in the veterinary industry. This individual will assist the Sr. Director of Recruiting, manage and expand day-to-day support staff recruiting activities, and partner with the Operations and Human Resources teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
Located in the Midwest
College degree
1-3 years of work experience in recruitment concepts, practices, and procedures
Experience recruiting in the veterinary industry required (DVM recruiting, vet tech, vet assistant, or practice management)
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail for tasks
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
A positive, can-do attitude!
Location must be in NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, IN, IL, MI, or OH
Your Responsibilities:
Update and maintain the use of the ATS by the hiring managers and hospital teams
Assist the practices with candidate sourcing when needed
Provide leadership and advice to hiring managers and interview teams
Support and implement employee engagement activities (welcoming new team members, tracking promotions/employee referrals, and acknowledging work anniversaries)
Oversee new hire on-boarding for support staff positions including drafting offer letters, new hire paperwork, and being the point of contact
Handle career fair registration, coordination, and support
Identify useful key trends to improve the onboarding experience
Ensure that candidate information is kept up to date and handled correctly in the ATS
Keep job postings up to date
Run queries and standard reports in the ATS
Respond to student inquiries (emails and phone calls) and redirect as appropriate
Directly support the Recruiting team with various activities as needed
