Associate Veterinarian (DVM)

Northside Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated and caring veterinarian who has a passion for building long-lasting relationships with the clients and patients we serve. All experience levels are welcome to apply, with strong and supportive mentorship readily available to new and newer graduates!

In addition to Northside, our associates also work out of our sister location, Holton Road Veterinary Care, which is located only 2 ½ miles down the road. While both locations are set up to provide primary outpatient care (complete with in-house diagnostics), Northside is our designated soft tissue and orthopedic surgical center and Holton Road has been optimized to provide high quality dental care.

Our History:

Northside Veterinary Hospital was established in 1952 and has been serving the greater Muskegon Community for nearly 70 years.  Dr. Eric Peterson, a 2003 MSU CVM graduate, purchased Northside in 2007 and added Holton Road Veterinary Clinic in 2014.  The two hospitals now operate as one cohesive unit to serve the needs of our community. 

Our Area:

The Muskegon Area is an amazing place to work and live! We have 2 smaller lakes that connect to Lake Michigan, so Muskegon is fantastic for water sports of all kinds. We have amazing beaches and State Parks. Downtown Muskegon is experiencing a rebirth with lots of new shopping, dining and entertainment development. We have a variety of museums from fine art, natural history to maritime museums. We experience moderate weather with comfortable temperatures and not too much snow fall. We are a 40-minute drive to downtown Grand Rapids, 2.5 hours from Chicago, and 2.5 hours away from Northern Michigan where wine tasting and skiing are right within reach. Several area High Schools are tops in the state academically making Muskegon a great place to raise a family.
