We are located in Conifer, CO which is a small town in the mountains 30 min outside of Denver.
Why you should come work with us:
- We have truly amazing clients. They are educated, are happy to spend money on their animals, and listen to our recommendations.
- We see some great cases! Our job is to see sick patients and I’m happy to reschedule wellness appointments to do so. That means our cases can be fun and exciting! If your emergency medicine isn’t quite up to speed, all you need is a desire to learn and we can do the rest.
- Our team is awesome! We don’t do drama, and when people leave it is because they move too far to commute, which says a lot about our work environment.
- Do you have children? If so, we offer free on-site daycare for children. Our daycare leader is wonderful and the kids have a blast at daycare while we have a blast at work.
We have a nice hospital for both small and large animals, with the ability to hospitalize overnight with a technician monitoring continuously. We are also within 30 minutes of a referral hospital, and our clients go when we tell them! We have two digital radiography units, dental X-ray, a nice ultrasound machine, a class 4 cold laser, and in-house blood machines, allowing us to practice the highest quality medicine. Our 30 to 45-minute appointments with daily lunch breaks ensure each patient gets the attention they deserve, and you have time to write your records (electronically of course).
You can choose how much you work – we can do two, three, four, or five days per week. We welcome experienced or recent veterinarians and are happy to provide mentorship. Doctors collaborate daily on cases and are always happy to stop what they are doing to help a colleague out. We see horses, dogs, cats, llamas, alpacas, pigs, sheep, and goats. You are welcome to see other species if you choose to, and if your llama medicine is a bit rusty, we can help you out with that!
Compensation is pro-sal with ample PTO, health insurance, dental insurance, and CE allowance. In addition to child daycare, we offer free dog daycare as well.
Other aspects: We do see after-hours emergencies, so you would be on-call, but never more than 25% of the time unless for some reason you love on call and would like to do more. You will also have a technician on-call with you. While we do answer the phone 24 hours per day, you are welcome to refer anything you don’t want to see after 10:00pm, because we value sleep too. The nice part of working at an on-call clinic is when you aren’t the on-call doctor, you get to leave at 5:00pm, because the on-call doctor takes any late cases. That means 3 out of 4 nights you can make plans at 5:30 and not cancel them!
DVM or equivalent is required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
