Bayhill Equine , located on the incomparable San Francisco Peninsula, is seeking an associate
veterinarian passionate about providing the highest level of sports medicine care to elite equine
athletes! Our clientele consists primarily of hunter/jumpers, in addition to dressage, eventing, and some pleasures horses. We
value a balanced life/work environment and offer a 4- or 5-day work week with shared on-call duty. Due
to the nature of our practice, the number of afterhours emergencies is low. We make sure to take care
of ourselves and each other! What sets our practice apart is an environment of support, flexibility, and an active commitment to each other.

We are currently seeking a full-time associate to join our equine ambulatory practice. The ideal candidate will share our management philosophy and be similarly dedicated to providing the highest level of sports medicine care to elite equine athletes. Our clientele consists primarily of hunter/jumpers, in addition to dressage, eventing, and some pleasures horses. Learn and discuss cases with highly regarded practitioners in the field including a two time Team Veterinarian for the World Equestrian Games, USA team veterinarian in international competitions in France and Hungary, in addition to regional and local horse shows.

Our culture is defined by mentorship, collaboration, positive attitudes, and continued learning. We value a balanced life/work environment. We have a 4 or 5 day work week and share nights on call. AND due to the nature of our practice, the number of after hours emergencies is low. We take care of ourselves and each other.

Our practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, shock wave, class IV regenerative laser, and two, 3-meter video endoscopes. Services provided include stem cell therapy, Alpha 2 EQ, IRAP, PRP, ProStride, acupuncture, and much more. Many practices have access to these procedures but do to the quality of the horses in our practice, we use them on a daily basis! The experience of our veterinarians can also help in deciding when, where, and why to use a particular therapy. Additionally, a fully equipped vehicle is provided, and each veterinarian has a vet tech to assist and maximize productivity.  

Applicants must have a DVM or VMD with an ability to obtain a California license *the California Board
Examination has recently been eliminated – new requirements are NAVLE + a take-home California
veterinary law exam* Salary is commensurate with experience/production and reflects an
understanding for the cost of living in the Bay Area. Benefits include medical, dental, IRA, AAEP and
AVMA membership dues, flexible work schedules, and a continuing education allowance. Our flexible
compensation package will consider a signing bonus, student loan pay-down, and a relocation
allowance.
