• Associates degree in animal health technology.
• 1-3 years of experience 
• Must be currently licensed as a veterinary technician (LVT), in the state of Michigan.
• Ability to work independently as needed while still working courteously and effectively with others.
• Ability and willingness to work with many species including but not limited to mice, rats, rabbits, ferrets, dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, cattle, and nonhuman primates.
• Significant experience related to animal handling, methods of blood collection and drug administration, and anesthesiology.
• Experience conducting diagnostic tests including hematology, clinical chemistry, and endo- and ecto-parasitology exams.
• Basic computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mails).
