Arch Animal Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri is a growing small animal general veterinary practice.  We currently have two locations, one in Ballwin MO and one in St. Peters MO.  We are searching for the right candidate to be our new Medical Director!  This position would entail managing support staff, helping create schedules and medical protocols, assisting with hiring and interviewing, and overseeing the general operation of the hospital, in addition to the typical medical and surgical tasks of a general practice veterinarian.  

At Arch Animal Hospital, we take the quality of our medical care very seriously.  Preventative medicine is the main thrust of our message to our clients.  We strive to have three support staff for every DVM per shift to maximize the care we can provide to our patients.  Our hospitals are fully equipped with surgery suites, digital radiology (including dental!), ultrasound capabilities, a fully-stocked pharmacy and online store.  

We are looking for someone who shares our vision of working as a team to provide the best possible medical and customer service experience possible.  Our clients have come to respect and appreciate our attentiveness to detail and our personal touch with them.    Our staff is composed of highly trained individuals.  Our technicians are fully trained to take radiographs, dental rads, place IV and urinary catheters, draw blood, trim nails, etc.  We leverage our staff in order to provide the best possible medicine to the most patients.

Our clinics are open Monday thru Friday, with no weekend hours and no on-call shifts.  Your personal time is yours, and St. Louis is a wonderful city to enjoy!  There are countless activities around the St. Louis area for families, we have a great art and theater community!  We also have a high density of parks around the area, including famous Forest Park, Home of The Muny and Art Hill.

Five years minimum practice experience required.  Previous management experience a plus but not a requirement.  Good personal skills, calm under pressure, friendly nature.
