You will be very happy that you stopped scrolling to read this ad.  Let me introduce you to the practice you have dreamed of but didn't know you could really work for.

Let's start with location.  While I can't promise you the beach or mountains I can promise you two rivers, hiking, outdoor activities, music, great schools, community events, easy access to two international airports and an area that still has the feel of a small town with all the amenities you could want.  New Braunfels, Texas sits at the base of the Texas hill country conveniently located between San Antonio and Austin.  

What about the practice?  County Line Veterinary Clinic is privately owned!  We are a practice with three full time doctors and a great support staff.  We recently lost one long term associate to a move so we are really a four doctor practice.  CLVC is a family and we try to strive to have team members who embody and live to our core values of excellence, teamwork, integrity, compassion, respect, and positivity.   We support each other throughout the day.  Our technicians are used to their highest potential giving the doctors the ability to focus on practicing medicine and surgery.  We encourage all staff to develop their skills and interests. We do not practice cookie cutter medicine.

We have all of the standard in house lab, x-ray, therapeutic laser, ultrasound and dentistry.  We also have some less common tools such as surgical laser, endoscopy, and shockwave.

We are a Certified Feline Friendly Practice.  When the beautiful 6500 sq ft facility was built, our feline friends were given their own reception area and entrance with a dedicated exam room and two treatment areas.  

We also have a referral practice within the building! Infinite PawsAbilities is a veterinary rehab practice where we offer full rehab options such as underwater treadmill, stem cell therapy, shockwave, MSK ultrasound, joint injections, and exercises through a doctor who is a CCRP and acupuncture, chiropractic, and herbal treatments through another associate who is certified in these.

Currently, we also have a board certified ophthalmologist who rents space weekly to see patients.

As you can see, we are serious about practicing quality medicine. But we are also about so much more than that.

We believe that we come to work and work hard but that we should have time for fun and family.  It is important to take breaks and to stay on top of mental health.  Our hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 - 6.  Yes you did see that correctly Monday through Friday - we are closed on the weekends.  And full time with us generally consists of four weekdays. No after hour emergency calls.  No boarders to worry about.

The staff lounge is located in a separate building from the main clinic, so that individuals may relax without being asked questions while they are taking a break. 

One more thing to make us unique is a large dock diving pool located in our yard.  This feature is utilized with our rehab facility but also is stand alone for people to rent to practice dock diving or just to swim with their dogs.  We are also a recognized facility to host events for two dock diving organizations.

What are we looking for?  The ideal candidate would be someone who understands and wants to be part of a team that takes care of each other while practicing outstanding patient and client care.  We would love to have someone who wants to bring orthopedics in house.   Someone who wants to grow feline specific medicine would be able to offer new services too.  Advanced dentistry is missing from this area.  We have a beautiful ultrasound machine so interest in this area would be fantastic. Maybe you just want to practice quality medicine.  We also offer mentorship to new and early career veterinarians.

We love being involved in our community.  We often have students in our practice as sharing the love for this profession is a beautiful way to give back to our profession.  We have 4H students, high school students, veterinary technician students, and veterinary externs that we host regularly. We want our veterinary externs to actually practice medicine so they are prepared for practice when they leave us.  We allow them to do as much as they can with full mentorship.

County Line Veterinary Clinic is a43 doctor small animal practice located in New Braunfels, Texas (between Austin and San Antonio). The practice was opened in 2007 by Dr. Elizabeth Fowler to provide quality veterinary care for the pets of New Braunfels and surrounding areas. We are opening a new practice within our practice strictly for rehab and holistic medicine - Infinite Pawsabilities Veterinary Rehab and Conditioning.  We are open M-F for 7:30 to 6.
