The Humane Society of Mohave County in Kingman, AZ located in northern Arizona, 1.5 hrs from Las Vegas, is hiring a full time, part time, or relief veterinarian. We are looking to add another associate to our 3-doctor practice and welcome all experience levels as well as new grads! Our clinic is a unique blend of HVSN, general practice, urgent care, and a referral institution for all types of surgical and medical procedures. Our goal is to provide care for people of all incomes, so we see a high caseload of interesting cases and perform all types of soft tissue surgeries and orthopedics. We hold contracts for local shelters and rescues, performing some herd health and cruelty work. Most of our vets have over 10 years experience in the field and provide amazing mentorship in shelter medicine, surgery, and general practice. Our clinic operates in a brand new, modern, 8,000 sq ft facility outfitted with state-of-the-art Idexx labs, digital full body and dental X-ray, laser surgery, high quality ultrasound, underwater treadmill, and any other gadget you can imagine. We are fully staffed with a 5:1 tech to doctor ratio, so you get to practice medicine, without performing treatments. We work 4-10 shifts, no nights or weekends, and have ample time off to enjoy family life or travel our beautiful region of the country.
Benefits include paid vacation, maternity leave after 1-year, full BCBS health/dental/vision, generous CE stipend, 401k match, relocation bonus and holiday bonus, dues/licenses/fees and free housing for 1 year. New grads starting pay $110k minimum, experienced vets salary based on experience and student loan forgiveness program as well profit share options available after 1 year. We have a medical transcriber so don’t spend your nights doing notes! We have an amazing team of techs and vets who have been with our practice for a long time, love to teach, and most importantly love making a difference in our community every day. Come join us to see how you can practice high quality medicine, have an amazing work life balance, and remember why you became a vet in the first place; to help those in need. HSMC Animal Medical Center is a humane alliance model clinic that has primarily provided spay/neuter and veterinary services to the community for 10 years. Our mission is to provide great care for every animal despite an owners income. This past year our clinic expanded to a new 8,000 sq. ft facility and now provides further medical and surgical care for animals in the tri-state area. Daily we perform 35-50 spay/neuter surgeries with office calls and our services have expanded to include soft tissue/ortho surgery, physical therapy, urgent care, dentistry, and shelter services. This clinic provides the sole care for 3 surrounding municipal shelters, 12+ rescues, and has a healthy grant funding to help with medical costs for those animals in need. The clinic has created multiple voucher programs to increase S/N in the community and has an active TNR program. We have a very dedicated staff with 35 technicians and receptionists.
