Oconomowoc Animal Hospital, located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (Greater Milwaukee), is searching for an Associate DVM to join our team.

We’re looking for an Associate who:

A typical day:

We typically have one doctor performing surgeries in the morning and later joining our 2-3 additional doctors seeing appointments in the afternoon. Most appointments are 30-minutes and we schedule 45-minute visits for sick pets. Additionally, we have emergency slots for urgent cases throughout the day. Each of our doctors is assigned a technician and a floater each day and our DVM team is happy to collaborate and bounce cases off one another. Our primary surgeries are routine soft tissue with the occasional foreign body or exploratory. Our team LOVES dentistry and see dental cases nearly every day, especially extractions. For more advanced procedures we refer out or have a specialist visit our hospital (including an orthopedic specialist).

Hospital leadership:

Our Medical Director, Dr. Katrin Witz is originally from Germany and a fantastic culture builder and mental health advocate. She’s created a cohesive, functional, and amazing team that has low turnover and believes knowledge is meant to be shared. Dr. Witz and our entire DVM team graduated from the University of Wisconsin and have 75+ years of combined experience. Altogether, their interests include preventative care, dentistry, feline medicine, and working through puzzling/challenging cases.

Flexible scheduling:

While this is a full-time role, we’re also open to those interested in part-time. We’re offering flexible Monday-Saturday scheduling, based on your needs! There are no on-call services or emergency hours required for this role.
