Are you looking for a practice with professional mentorship and a commitment to lifelong learning? Are you looking for a practice where the doctors and staff support each other and practice medicine with fantastic clients? Our rapidly growing, 8-doctor practice is part of a 14-doctor, 3-location private practice group that is looking to add additional veterinarians. Our award-wining hospitals are equipped and ready to support the highest level of medicine you would like to practice. Our veterinarians are open-minded, hard-working, collaborative and caring.
The most important thing we are looking for is someone who truly cares about clients and their pets. We go further than the extra mile for our clients, which is what has and will continue to set us apart. Client communication is crucial, and we are looking for someone who can effectively read and communicate with any and every type of client who brings us their pet. If you like helping people and animals and you want to work in a fun place that delivers exceptional customer service while still maintaining the best standard of care possible with all the newest equipment and diagnostics, then this is the place for you. We work hard, practice great medicine and when the time is right, we have a ton of fun.
Our clientele allows us to practice progressive, high-quality medicine, dentistry and surgery on all species and we have the equipment to support it. In-house blood machines, UA analyzer, high-end digital X-ray and ultrasound, complete soft-tissue and orthopedic surgical equipment and pretty much any other piece of equipment you would need (cautery, laser, thermal imaging camera and more). We perform a lot of surgeries from spay/neuters to ACLs, FHO's, fractures, C-sections, bloats, ophtho, you name it. You would have the opportunity to learn these skills if interested. Our equipment is great, but our culture is matched by none! We work up and manage all difficult medicine cases in house and we also will see any and all emergencies. We maintain great relationships with surrounding emergency and referral practices and rescues. New graduates would have a fantastic opportunity to learn or focus on almost any discipline they are interested in. We offer a well-defined, structured mentorship program to support our commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. From the day you arrive, you will always have a voice in our meetings and rounds.
Our benefits are solid: a flexible schedule with most working a 4-day week that supports excellent work/life balance. We offer generous paid time off (4 weeks) as well as additional paid time off and dollars for professional development. Our health insurance is fully paid for by us, as is our short-term disability and life insurance. PLIT, licensing, 401K with a generous match, uniforms, pet care discounts, etc. help round out our compensation package. However, the biggest benefit is that you would be working at an awesome place with great people where everyone gets along. Our entire staff is great, and we have a very friendly, relaxed, family-like atmosphere. Our support staff is passionate, well-trained and caring and ample enough that our doctors truly feel supported. We also have plenty of staff, our staff-to-doctor ratio and tech-to-doctor ratio is 50% over the national average. So, there is always a tech when you need one.
Pay is dependent on experience and abilities. New graduates typically start on salary and have the option to switch to Pro-Sal at any time to maximize your earning potential. We also offer a generous signing bonus and relocation expense reimbursement.
Check out our web page, Facebook, Instagram and Google reviews to get a better feel of our practice.
The positions are 95% dogs and cats with some exotics (mostly pocket pets and reptiles with a few pet chickens thrown in), but the ideal candidate would have an open mind for treating all species with a zest for continued learning and growth in all disciplines. We would encourage and support your professional interests. All you have to do is commit to keep trying to become a better veterinarian.
This position is for our Tolland location. We also have hospitals in Stafford and Ashford. We are right on the edge between suburban and rural living and are located within 20 minutes of anything you like to do for fun.
