The Opportunity

The Animal Hospital on the Golden Strip in Williamsport, PA is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their fast-paced and growing team. Companion animals as well as an Exotic clientele. 

As the Associate DVM at The Animal Hospital on the Golden Strip you will have the opportunity to join an experienced team of doctors and technicians and help us deliver affordable high quality care to those who need it most. You can enjoy a four-day work week and generous pet healthcare discount in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.

This large facility hosts five exam rooms, an enclosed surgery suite, treatment and procedure room, large doctor’s office, grooming at the front of the building and boarding for 50 pets. The practice also has a full in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound and therapeutic laser services.

Driven to serve – The practice is driven to serve their community and view them as family. With offering grooming and boarding in addition to medical care, the practice sees many of their clients on a regular basis, often every couple weeks. This allows them the time to form deep relationships with their clients and patients.

Deeply involved in the community – The Animal Hospital on the Golden Strip is passionate about giving back and seeks any opportunity to be in front of the community and represent the practice. They enjoy sponsoring local 5ks and other walk/runs, work with their local SPCA and provide discounted care for local rescues. The practice also proudly serves as the veterinary hospital for Jedi, a Golden Lab who sits with children and adults testifying in the local courtroom. As previously mentioned we work with our local AZA accredited Zoo.

The Area

Williamsport is mostly famously known as the original home of Little League Baseball. It is home to the Little League World Museum and hosts the Little League Baseball® World Series.

Williamsport boasts four scenic seasons. Locals enjoy nature in the form of camping, boating, fishing and kayaking. There are also great hiking and biking trails such as the Pine Creek trail and numerous state forest trails. In the Winter you will find well-groomed snowmobile trails and excellent skiing in the area.

You can also enjoy locally grown produce and artisanal items and freshly prepared foods at the Williamsport Farmers market.

The downtown area of Williamsport is equipped with a movie theater, sports complex for indoor soccer and batting cages and two brand new YMCA facilities for a range of fitness selections.

Skills and Qualifications:

Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification. License in good standing to practice in Pennsylvania.
